Ladies to the fore!

The annual outing of the Leith Rules Golf Society at Kingarrock proved to be a most enjoyable outing for all participants. The high point was the presentation of the 'Not So Silver Putter' to the winner of the day, Yves Foulis.

Watching on that day with characteristic smile was Yves husband Douglas, past Captain of the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers at Muirfield. His presence acts as a reminder of the importance of his club's history in writing down the first rules in 1744. If they had not, we certainly would not have had the silver club to play for and more importantly, golf would not have become the worldwide sport it is today.
